About
Captain Tim

Originally from the UK, Tim has been passionate about fishing since childhood, starting with freshwater fishing around London for Pike, Perch, and the occasional Carp. Moving to California, he broadened his horizons, catching 300-pound Thresher Sharks from a kayak. Tim later spent years fishing the Florida Space Coast, refining his topwater techniques.

Now living in Salem with his wife, two children, and fishing-loving cocker spaniel Roxy, Tim enjoys targeting tuna, jigging for haddock, fly fishing for striped bass, and adapting to the local fishery.

Tim began seamanship and navigation classes 25 years ago, earning his RYA Skipper License in 2003 and his Coast Guard 100-ton Master’s License in 2006, along with CPR and First Aid certifications for operating a for-hire vessel.

  • "I can’t say enough good things about Tim and his fishing charters. I’ve been out with him twice and caught 20+ fish each time. If you want an intimate and personal fishing excursion with good conversation, a wealth of knowledge, and a boat full of fish, Capt Tim delivers!"

    Reed, Boston MA

  • "What a great day! It was awesome and well beyond my expectations of how many fish and the size of the fish we would catch on our charter. Perfect day for me and my son."

    Marc, Denver CO

  • "Best time ever! Will definitely do it again.. Definitely one of the best charters we've been on."

    Brian, Syracuse NY

  • "Couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon with the family. Tim was great with the kids not to mention he really knows how to catch fish! Everyone caught multiple striped bass. We Can’t wait to book next year."

    Zack, Salem MA

Questions before booking your charter?

  • The F/V Endeavour is a 24’ Silverhawk fishing machine, specifically equipped for fishing in the Northeast. She is well-suited for giant tuna fishing, striper and inshore fishing, ground fishing, jigging, and trolling with her Taco outriggers. The boat features ample rod storage, including 12 flush mounted rod holders, 3 in the fighting station, and additional storage for 9 rods on the doghouse roof and 6 on each side, totaling 36 rod holders (7 of which are tuna fighting swivel rod holders). Powered by a low-hours Stroker 383 V8 engine, she has the strength to plane efficiently with a full load of crew, ice, gear, and fish. With a 24-degree deadrise and a displacement of 6,000 pounds, she offers a stable and dry ride through the waves. The 165-gallon fuel tank allows for long runs when searching for tuna far afield. Endeavour is equipped with the latest safety gear, including an inflatable life raft, EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), three throwable buoyant life-saving devices, a life ring, multiple adult and child Type I life jackets, dual redundant marine radios with automatic SOS MMSI numbers, independent GPS navigation units, a first aid kit, and an inventory of offshore flares.

  • Our 24’ Silverhawk comfortably accommodates 3 adults, providing space to move, fish, and store ice and gear. Beyond 3 guests, space may become limited, making it challenging to fish more than two or three rods simultaneously. We can accommodate children as part of the crew, and we often welcome groups of kids. A comfortable setup for a few hours is two adults and two children. An additional charge of $100 per person applies for a 5th or 6th guest, and please note that fishing time may be affected by the number of guests aboard. Our boat has the necessary permits for guests to fish, so you won’t need to purchase a fishing license to fish aboard Endeavour.

  • We are affiliated with Sigler Guide Services in Marblehead, MA, allowing us to easily book multiple boats if needed. We can accommodate groups of up to 30 people across several boats. Group trips can be enjoyable, serve as excellent morale boosters for companies, and are easy to organize. Rates apply per boat.

  • We take pride in the high-quality equipment we stock and maintain on our boat. Our gear includes Penn Fathom multi-speed reels, Shimano Trevala Boat Rods, Teramar casting rods, CMS Tuna Rods, Seagar fluorocarbon line, and top-of-the-line hooks, swivels, and terminal tackle. About 90% of our gear comes from Tomo’s Tackle in Salem, MA, and we encourage our guests to visit Tomo if they’re looking for gear.

  • Many guests wish to keep fish for the table, and we encourage you to harvest what you will enjoy eating and won’t go to waste. However, we strictly adhere to all fishing regulations, including harvest sizes. Current striped bass regulations allow for one fish per angler to be harvested within the slot size of 28 to 31 inches. These regulations are updated annually, so please inquire at the time of booking if harvesting fish is important to you. If you want to take fish home, please bring a cooler in your vehicle to transport your catch. We can usually provide some ice, but we recommend buying a bag or two after the trip to ensure your dinner stays cold on the way home.

  • We require a small non-refundable deposit to secure your date, which can be paid by cash, check, or Venmo, with the balance due on the day of the trip. A customary gratuity of 10-20% is appreciated. We fish in the rain (some of the best fishing occurs in rainy weather!), and we only cancel trips if the weather poses safety concerns or if unscheduled mechanical maintenance is necessary (which happens occasionally). The captain has the sole discretion to cancel trips. If your trip is canceled, we will work with you to find a mutually agreeable date to reschedule, and your deposit will be applied to that date.

We carry a commercial charter policy for insurance, but it’s vital for everyone to act responsibly aboard the vessel and follow the captain’s instructions, as they are meant to ensure your safety and that of the boat.
